Whitewater Bike Ranch
Welcome to the Ranch
Whitewater is opening a new Center this Spring in the Blue Ridge Highlands of Virginia. The Bike Ranch is a 500-acre trail complex adjoining the renowned Virginia Creeper Trail and soon to become the trail center of this world-class outdoor region. Located in the Great Knobs between Abingdon and Damascus, VA, the Ranch will further establish this corner as America’s Trail Hub.
COMING SPRING 2025

Ride the Ranch
Fully developed, the Bike Ranch is planned to grow to 50 miles of trail for mountain, gravel and recreational biking as well as trail running and hiking. The Ranch will also feature the Bike Barn overlooking the trails and dairy pond which offers indoor and outdoor seating for eating and drinking as well as pre and post trail-use hangout. Future plans include a full service bike shop for rentals, repairs and retail.
The Ranch is scheduled to open in the Spring 2025. Initial trail buildout includes gravel and single-track trails. The single-track offer flowy cross country as well as steep, technical downhill. There are several miles of gravel/cinder trails for gravel and recreational riding that also link to the single-track. The former timber roads have all been reestablished as trails which include some fairly steep climbing. All told, there is something for every style of riding, as well as running and hiking, although we caution there is very little flat terrain for flatlanders.
Connected directly to the Creeper Trail, trail users can access the Ranch on foot and bike or ride/drive directly to the Ranch for additional trail access. Onsite parking along with changing-rooms and bathrooms are located at the trailhead.
