The first part of the Swiftwater and Flood Rescue curriculum, this course is designed for the rescue professionals looking to become a technician in swiftwater and flood rescues.

Hazards and hydrology
Self-rescue techniques
Preparation and planning
Basic use of rescue equipment
Knots and basic anchor systems
Wading
Dealing with foot entrapment
Tensioned diagonals
Basic understanding and use of the rescue vest
