Schedule

Friday, July 4
Competition Begins 1:00 pm
Three qualifying rounds followed by a head to head finals. This is a spectator friendly event.

Additional Information

    • Competitors will take their chances running across a 55 foot greasy pole.
    • Competitors will need to cross  marked sections of the pole while remaining upright to advance through qualifying. Each round becomes more difficult.
    • Qualified competitors will move into a head to finals round where speed and agility are critical in determining a champion.
  • There will be 3 categories for awards.

    • Overall: The last man/woman standing at the end of the head to head final.
    • Best Dressed: Competitors will be judged based on creativity, design and theme of their outfit.
    • Fan Favorite: Based on crowd applause and reaction.
    • The Old Glory Grease Run is located in the Upper Pond
    • Suggested spectator areas include the Trail Center, River Center and Wharf.
    • Event is free to attend. There is a $12 parking fee for standard size vehicles.
    • Food & beverage is available for purchase.
    • Waiver Policy
      • All participants must sign the Whitewater Center Assumption of Risk Agreement before participating.
      • Waiver may be printed and brought to packet pick-up or completed on site.
      • The waiver is not included in the online registration form.
    • Refund and Transfer Policy
      • Race Registration is non-refundable.
    • Trail Safety
      • Trails will be open to other runners, hikers and bikers at all times.
      • Communicate when passing other trail users.
      • No E-bikes or any form of powered transportation are permitted in any Whitewater Race Series events.
    • Weather Policy
      • Events are scheduled to proceed rain or shine.
      • The Whitewater Center reserves the right to alter/reschedule/cancel any Whitewater Race Series event at any time.
    • Parking Policy
      • The Whitewater Center has a $12 daily parking fee. Annual parking passes are available for $40.
    • Emergency Policy
      • The Whitewater Center does not conduct trail rescues.
      • Participants must call 911 if emergency services are needed.
      • Emergency location markers are located within the trail system.

Shirts are included in participant registration while supplies lasts.

Awards

Awards will be given to the overall competition winner, best-dressed, and fan favorite.
