Big Creek Lodge
Big Creek Lodge sits on six acres within the Ranger District of the Pisgah National Forest, adjacent to the North Mills River Recreation Area. Formerly part of a 360-acre farm, Whitewater now protects the last six acres not purchased by the National Forest Service.
The property features direct access to the North Mills River and Rocky Fork Creek as well as the Trace Ridge and North Mills River trail heads. Located in the heart of the “Land of Waterfalls,” Big Creek Lodge connects guests to over 250 waterfalls. The Lodge sits on Yellow Gap Road, one of the most scenic and challenging gravel biking routes in the Southeast. This area allows guests to connect out the front door to hundreds of miles of singletrack for hiking, backpacking, biking and more.
The Lodge is located within 30 minutes of downtown Asheville and Brevard, cities known for a wide range of breweries, galleries and restaurants. Also 30 minutes away is Dupont State Park, renowned for its mountain biking, trails and waterfalls.
