Whitewater

Trail Running & Hiking

40+ miles of single-track, cross country trails.

The Whitewater Center maintains over 40 miles of trails for hikers and trail runners. The trails are natural surface and wind across the 1,300 acre woods of the Center.  The trails run along the Catawba River and through hardwood and pine forests.

Use of the trail system does not require an activity pass. Trails are directional for all users and labeled on the Trail Map. Trails are closed when weather conditions render them unusable so please check the”trail status” at the top of the website. The 3 mile Parkway Trail is available as an all-weather trail when the system is closed.
