Mountain Biking

Western North Carolina is one of the most well-regarded mountain biking destinations in the world, offering hundreds of miles of single track throughout the region. Experiences range from beginner-friendly flow trails to double black diamond descents down some of North America’s most recognizable trails within Pisgah and DuPont forests. Expect thick roots, chunky rock gardens, steep descents, and rewarding climbs with epic views in one of the iconic destinations of the sport.

About

Pisgah National Forest and DuPont Recreational Forest both feature vast trail networks and forest service roads to create endless riding opportunities in the region. Look for stalwart rides such as DuPont Ridgeline and then head to the National Forest for classic technical trail riding at destinations such as Butter Gap, Black Mountain, and North Slope.
