Additional Information

    • Registration includes access to the post-race hot chocolate bar. Grab a cup of cocoa and choose from a variety of toppings. Available for all ages.
    • Waiver Policy
      • All participants must sign the Whitewater Center Assumption of Risk Agreement before participating.
      • Waiver may be printed and brought to packet pick-up or completed on site.
      • The waiver is not included in the online registration form.
    • Refund and Transfer Policy
      • Race Registration is non-refundable
    • Trail Marking
      • Race courses will be denoted by colored arrows.
      • Whitewater Race Series events take place on multiple surfaces, including natural surface trails over uneven terrain.
    • Trail Safety
      • Trails will be open to other runners, hikers and bikers at all times.
      • Headphones, iPods, MP3 players, etc are strongly discouraged.
      • Communicate when passing other trail users.
      • No pets allowed on the course.
      • No E-bikes or any form of powered transportation are permitted in any Whitewater Race Series events.
    • Weather Policy
      • Events are scheduled to proceed rain or shine.
      • The Whitewater Center reserves the right to alter/reschedule/cancel any Whitewater Race Series event at any time.
    • Parking Policy
      • The Whitewater Center has a $13 daily parking fee. Annual parking passes are available for $45.
    • Emergency Policy
      • The Whitewater Center does not conduct trail rescues.
      • Participants must call 911 if emergency services are needed.
      • Emergency location markers are located within the trail system.
  • Channel the Holidays is a unique event that requires all participants to actively manage the features and elements of the man-made whitewater channel.  In addition to the usual elements present in all races, this course includes sudden and unexpected steps, drop offs, inclines, uneven features/elements and wet surfaces in a concrete channel.  This race requires all participants to remain aware and focus on the unusual features and elements present in the course and approach them with caution and due care for the participant’s safety.  The whitewater channels have not been altered in a manner to reduce the danger that is inherent to running in such a unique and potentially dangerous environment. Restraint and caution must be factored into each racers participation in this event.

Awards

Participants must be present at the award ceremony to receive awards.

5K awards will be given to the following finishers in the following age groups:

14 and under | 15-20 | 21-30 | 31-40 | 41-50 | 51-60 | 61 and better

1 mile – Overall top 3 male and female finishers

1 Mile Kids Run- Overall top 3 boy and girl finishers
